Following the announcement, Mohannad Zikra, the company’s CEO and co-founder, was mentioned in one report elaborating on why Stella Stays chose to accept digital currencies. As he stated:

Accepting bitcoin payments is a game changer for the Middle East’s hospitality business. Being the first to market with this solution provides us with a competitive advantage as an early adopter. We’re thrilled to offer this innovation in cryptocurrency and to usher in a new era for our tech-savvy clientele.

Zikra stated that because his company is constantly pursuing “the finest guest experience,” adopting cryptocurrencies signals the start of Stella Stays’ shift toward “futuristic technology solutions.”

Meanwhile, according to a research by Unlock Media, “14% of guests who land on [Stella Stays’] checkout page click on the cryptocurrency payment link.” Around 28% of these guests requested further information that would enable them to conduct transactions using cryptocurrency payments, the research noted.
