Senior engineers are being sought by Revolut for positions in the company’s blockchain technology division.
The job advertisements, which have appeared in recent weeks, are looking for candidates who can “create and deliver excellent blockchain solutions” and collaborate with other teams “on product development and integration of blockchain solutions” into current systems.
Candidates must be familiar with the programming language Solidity, which is used to create smart contracts.

Revolut, a neobank based in London that began as a currency conversion app but has subsequently evolved into much more, has had a ‘walled garden’ crypto trading product available since 2017. Customers will be able to withdraw their bitcoin from the app in May 2021 and move it to personal wallets, the first step in a long-term expansion strategy for the firm.
Token development efforts are being led by Phuc To, a former Revolut retail executive, according to two people familiar with the matter. In May 2021, To’s LinkedIn page indicates that he left his position as head of retail to embark on a “special project” involving cryptocurrency.
