Randi Zuckerberg, a Facebook spokesperson and Mark Zuckerberg’s sister, has launched a new cryptocurrency ad campaign that is a funny parody of Adele’s song “Hello.”
Crypto Song with an Adele Theme
Randi Zuckerberg appears in a fur-collared cardigan, similar to the one Adele wore in her ‘Hello’ video, lip-syncing to a crypto-themed version of the same song in OKCoin’s new commercial. The lyrics, on the other hand, were changed to fit the crypto and DeFi beats.
“Hello, my name is Do you want to learn how to trade cryptocurrency? We’ll go over everything because you have money from various blockchains and want to trade them “reads the lyrics that have been modified
While sharing the video, Randi stated that the crypto realm should be “welcoming” rather than intimidating.
“This is a music video! b/c the community should be enjoyable, crypto should be friendly rather than scary, and why not? (sic), “she continued.
🎶🎶 Hello – it’s me 🎶🎶
Music video! b/c community should be FUN, crypto should be welcoming not intimidating & why not?!?! @thehugxyz we believe in working hard AND enjoying this crazy amazing moment we’re in. Best way to support creators is to be creators! Apologies Adele 🤣 pic.twitter.com/GHKRCK8J7z— randizuckerberg.eth (@randizuckerberg) February 17, 2022
Increasing the Number of Women in Crypto
Zuckerberg, who previously worked in Facebook’s marketing department, is now the inaugural ‘brand advisory council member’ at Okcoin, where she is entrusted with increasing the number of women involved in cryptocurrency. The latest ad, according to OKcoin, is part of the company’s objective to encourage women to learn about DeFi and cryptocurrencies.
Randi had already experimented with music videos. She did an Apple iPhone music video in 2008 that was inspired by a Pussycat Dolls song called “Don’t you wish your smartphone was hot like me.”
