PUBG Corp. Will Use NFTs in User Generated Content Metaverse

  • PUBG Corps has announced an NFT game in the works, despite the recent assertions by various content production businesses that users are strongly opposed to NFT initiatives.
  • However, it’s not clear if Krafton’s initiative will be closely linked to PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds.
  • Both Naver Z and Krafton benefit from their unique skills and shared international focus in their relationship.

PUBG Corporation’s parent company Krafton says that its developers are working on a platform for the NFT metaverse, despite the fact that NFT initiatives have been highly opposed by gamers throughout the world.

The current NFT and Web3 initiative focuses on building an NFT metaverse platform and has brought together a content production company with Naver Z, the operator of Zepeto, a metaverse platform for NFTs.

Krafton is working on a project that may or may not be connected to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. It will be used to create a tool for UGC and digital worlds built using Unreal Engine by content production company, which has gained experience in the development and functionality of PUBG.

Naver Z will be in charge of Metaverse infrastructure and social and community infrastructure, according to the release.

HyungChul Park, the Web3 lead at Krafton, says that the collaboration between Naver Z and Krafton is aided by each organization’s unique experience and similar vision for the future pushed by metaverses and NFTs.

Creators with Zepeto and Naver Z’s abilities and expertise can build scalable Web3.0 environments driven by Krafton persisting technologies, and they can confidently develop a higher quality free metaverse powered by user-generated content that stands alone from other facilities, revitalising the international creator economy via NFT technologies.

However, Krafton’s threat is that it is trying to avoid the rising backlash against NFTs linked with gaming, which may not be a good thing at first.

Strategy to incorporate NFT into Stalker 2 was abandoned due to a lack of support from its own studio and gamers.

Krafton may not meet the same level of pushback. If the project is distinct from PUBG in every way. Gamers may not give a damn about the NFT ambitions of content creation companies. NFTs are still plagued by fraud and false claims, so there’s always the risk of negative impact.

A joint venture between Krafton and Naver Z is something that will be discussed in more depth in the near future.

In the NFT and metaverse, Krafton is a gaming giant. There have been reports for a while now that Krafton is working on a new game with a larger area and globe than titles like Assassin’s Creed, Warzone, and so on.

Assuming this is about that world, it would generate a lot of excitement among the Krafton community and make a significant contribution to Web3 and the Metaverse.
