Pro Traders can now trade Cardano (ADA) on a Japanese crypto exchange

It has been revealed by Bitpoint Pro, the professional arm of the Japanese crypto-to-fiat exchange, that the Cardano (ADA) cryptocurrency will be accessible for trade starting on Thursday.

The trading platform, which is based in Tokyo, initially announced the IPO on January 27.

Bitpoint has become the first Japanese exchange to list the cryptocurrency ADA. Because of the rigorous legal requirements, local cryptocurrency trading platforms are cautious to introduce new coins.

Apart from ADA, Bitpoint Pro only accepts seven cryptocurrencies, among which are the Basic Attention Token (BAT) and the Tron cryptocurrency (TRX).

As a result of Cardano’s successful trading debut in Japan, the community celebrated with a haiku poem by Matsuo Basho, which was posted on Reddit by Input Output CEO Charles Hoskinson. A notable distinction is that the current stage of the Cardano development roadmap, which is focused on the development of scaling solutions, was named after the most famous Japanese poet of all time.

Japanese Ethereum was the original name given to the proof-of-stake project since about 90% of the investors who participated in the project’s initial coin offering (ICO) were from the land of the rising sun.

Japanese authorities are investigating ADA traders for tax evasion, according to an article published in the Nikkei newspaper last October.
