OKX will have an in-stadium presence at Etihad Stadium, home of the English Premier League champions.
OKX, formerly OKEx, has announced a multiyear relationship with Manchester City, the English Premier League champion.
The agreement marks OKX’s first step into sports sponsorship, with the exchange’s logo appearing at Man City’s home stadium, Etihad Stadium.
OKX stated on Friday that the two parties will collaborate on future projects.
The agreement’s terms were not made public. When approached by CoinDesk, Manchester City did not answer, and OKX declined to comment.
In recent months, sponsorship partnerships between sports teams or events and cryptocurrency companies have become more common. Manchester United, a local rival, secured a sponsorship deal with Tezos in February, reportedly worth £20 million ($27 million) per year.
According to CoinGecko data, OKX, situated in the Seychelles, has more than 20 million customers globally and is the world’s second-largest crypto exchange by spot trading volume.
Manchester City are currently top of the Premier League standings and in the final rounds of the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup, having won three of the previous four seasons.
