CoinDesk has fixed a CMS bug that allowed headlines to be leaked before they were published

The content management system at CoinDesk has been patched after an error revealed the headlines of stories stored as draughts (CMS).

White-hat hacker brought CoinDesk to the attention of an exploit that may have allowed unknown individuals to profit from non-public information by executing transactions prior to the publication of at least one CoinDesk article.

The problem has been resolved and further protections have been implemented.

We are sorry for this unintentional divergence from our commitment to fairness in crypto markets.
